Most influential books in my life

One of the most influential books in my life is "Hamlet." I never read anything by Shakespeare until in my English 1B class and that was two years ago. This book really peak my interest with colorful cast and I just imagined that Hamlet is a game of chess. It does works well for it. So each character is assigned pieces that are used in game. For example, where Hamlet is the white king piece and where the queen is black queen. I can’t put this book down at all.

Another influential book in my life is “Batman and Philosophy:The Dark Knight of the Soul.” edited by Mark D. White and Robert ARP. This book is about how Batman always makes these decisions like why he doesn’t kill the joker at all. It seems batman is always like philosopher in superhero universe. This book motivated me if I am doing right or wrong and what batman does if he was in my shoes.

A book that I read in high school is “Lord of Ring.” The book took me in to an ever-lasting journey. This book has taught me is never give up what are you questing for. But I know this meaning is wrong but it is own my meaning. Journey will guide me deeply in this book a lot. All the characters in this series are very likeable.

Those three books are very influential book in my life because they will have special meaning and sharing some memories that I had when I was reading them.

  1. Batman is a really interesting character to study. I do believe that Superheroes are this generation's "Greek Gods". Here's an interesting deconstruction of the character.

  2. Great books. They all examine very big human issues. I like the idea of superheros as today's Greek Gods.
